Halley Royal Hupp, a seasoned criminal prosecutor and passionate storyteller, weaves tales that captivate and inspire. He holds a B.A. in Literature & Writing from the University of California, San Diego, and earned his J.D. from Pepperdine University. Since 1994, Hal has served as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Snohomish County, Washington.

In the literary arena, Hal’s debut contemporary romance novel, Return to Leavenworth, published on July 7, 2024, has garnered praise for its heartfelt storytelling. He is also the author of the non-fiction Washington State Child Support Handbook, published by the Washington State Bar Association in 2001. He is currently in search of representation for his urban fantasy novel, Until the Break of Fae. Hal’s current project is a romancy novel with the working title Dragon Soul: Awakening.

When he’s not in the courtroom, Hal enjoys traveling with his wife of 35 years, Stacy, and their two children, Reagan and Sullivan.
