I grew up with a father in the publishing industry and a mother who always encouraged me to read. My reading life changed in elementary school when I was introduced to Narnia, The Black Cauldron, and The Hobbit. In middle school, I discovered The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant and can still remember thinking how amazing it was that a fantasy book could address adult issues. As an adult, I found the Dresden Files, then the Mercy Thompson series, the Iron Druid Chronicles, the Alex Verus series, and a host of other urban fantasy worlds, and I was hooked.
I started writing SoulSighted: Vampire Vexations in 2019. At that time, it had the working title “Member of the Court.” After finishing the first draft and then multiple edits, I took a break to write Love & Worth, which was published in 2024. I had the honor of communicating with one of the amazing authors of the series listed above, and he provided me with the name of an editor, whom I hired to edit my urban fantasy novel, which at the time was titled “Until the Break of Fae.” Her edits and suggestions were priceless. SoulSighted then went through multiple rounds of beta reading, resulting in additional edits and the addition of a prologue. And now the book is ready for you.
