So, tomorrow is September 1, 2026 and SoulSighted: Vampire Vexations will finally be available for folks to read. I’ve spent the last couple days reading Judgement of Powers by Benedict Jacka. My way of reducing stress either from work or waiting for the publication date of a book is to read read read. It is just so much fun to disappear into someone’s words and the world they’ve created. To get to know the characters and to live the adventure between the pages.
I was thinking about tomorrow and asked myself what I want out of it. The simple answer is that I want people to become part of the world I created and meet Alexander Hope and all the other characters in the book. I’ve worked for 32 years as a prosecutor and I have 3 years before I retire. My joy of writing has never been about making money. I want to share the stories bouncing around in my head that end up on the written page. But as I learned with my first book, the hardest part is really finding ways to let people know the book even exists. The next part is being lucky enough to create a cover and a description that encourages them to give the book a chance. Hopefully, I’ve done that here. We shall see.
I’ll soon begin writing the next book in the series. It’s working title is SoulSighted: Werewolf Woes. But a part of me wants feedback on the first book first. I want to know what grabbed readers and what didn’t. Where my strengths are and where I need to improve my story telling. Hopefully reader’s feedback will help with that. I encourage readers to of course rate the book and write reviews because that’s how knowledge of the book spreads. But, in addition to that anyone who wants to contact me via the website, please know that I will read what you write and consider your suggestions.
